About SWC

The SWC is citizen-based committee dedicated to restoring and maintaining a healthy Stillaguamish watershed. The SWC provides feedback to Surface Water Management staff on development and implementation of watershed plans to protect water quality and restore fish habitat.

The Stillaguamish Tribe and Snohomish County staff act as co-leads of the Stillaguamish watershed salmon conservation planning effort. They facilitate citizen and agency-represented committees to develop technical assessments and long-term plans to conserve Stillaguamish Chinook salmon (identified as threatened under the Endangered Species Act). The Stillaguamish Technical Advisory Group (STAG) develops technical recommendations for salmon conservation.

The Stillaguamish Watershed Council meets regularly regarding salmon recovery, water quality and watershed restoration efforts in the Stillaguamish Watershed. Meetings are typically held the second Wednesday of the each month from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm, at the Peace Lutheran Church on 1717 Larson Rd in Silvana. Visitors are welcome.
